our story

How our sailing agency began

The Sea in our blood

The Yachting-Croatia.ch agency was established in 2005 by its Swiss founder, Julian Waldburger, who grew up by the shores of Lake Geneva. Driven by his love for sailing, he then moved to Croatia, a magnificent country with more than a thousand islands, to fulfill his passion for sailing and everything related to water sports. At that time, sailboat rentals and charter bases were only beginning to develop, until they took on the scale we know today.

Local knowledge and service

Since then, the agency has constantly monitored the development of the region's nautical and tourist infrastructures. We’re proud of our experience, local knowledge, and advantage of knowing the country, its language and culture better than any other travel service provider offering sailing trips to various worldwide destinations. Having built such a unique relationship with the region, its people, language, coast, and hospitality, we have ensured that Yachting Croatia can offer a localised service with local expertise.
